I was once told by a boss of mine (hello Simon Kelly if you’re reading!) that the best way to make a living is to find something you love to do then find a way to make money from doing it. Well I’m a Marketing Manager by day and a foodaholic (cooking, eating, dreaming, whatever) by night. I really do enjoy my day job but it just doesn’t compare with my love of food. Let’s be honest, there isn’t much which does (friends and family not included of course!)
All this waffle (mmmm waffles) is leading somewhere I promise. As I said in my very first post of this blog, I’m forever dreaming about food related plans such as having my own cafe, for example. Well starting this blog was the first time I actually stopped dreaming about doing something and went ahead and did it (as small a step as that is, it’s still a step!). And it seems to have had a bit of an effect because suddenly I am full of motivation and am putting another dream in to action, albeit by beginning with baby steps and seeing where it takes me.
What I am trying to say is that Chilli Fudge is born! It’s more hobby than actual business right now but I’m happy to plod along with it and see if I can grow it to something more. Chilli Fudge currently resides on a Facebook page but I am in the middle of building it’s very own website as we speak – it’s all so exciting! It will be a place you can buy sweet treats perfect for gift, wedding favours etc – fudge, cakes, cookies, whoopie pies – you get the idea.
So that’s my news. Apologies for the recipe free post but I will be back very soon with a recipe for salmon served with noodles and salsa. In the meantime I’ll leave you with some Chilli Fudge pics – and if you’d like to know more than maybe you could check out my page on FB or follow me on Twitter @Chilli_Fudge
I’m off to experiment with fudge recipes :0)
